Vaccines for COVID-19, Update
Dr. Duffy and his medical assistant Ashley have received the COVID-19 vaccination protecting them from the virus, which makes your visit to our practice safer. Dr. Mckane and the rest of the staff interacting with patients have also been vaccinated.
Dr. Duffy strongly encourages all his patients to follow the scientific data and get vaccinated. The available vaccines are incredibly safe and it is miraculous that they were developed so swiftly. All five of the vaccines available (though some not yet available in the US) including Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Novavax, and Johnson & Johnson- are preventing death. Of the roughly 75,000 people who have received one of these vaccines in a research trial, not a single person has died from COVID, and only a few people appear to have been hospitalized. None have remained hospitalized 28 days after receiving a vaccine!
The Unites States has just passed a grim milestone- 500,000 of our fellow Americans have died from COVID. Please do your part- get vaccinated when you can and continue to social distance and wear a mask.
